Tartan Day South Celtic's Festival

This hugely successful midlands Festival makes its first landmark appearance in Lexington with an evening of Celtic culture featuring great music, demonstrations, and artistic exhibitions. The show will feature traditional Celtic sounds from Palmetto Pipes and Drums and the Lift Irish Band.  Celtic Rock will take the stage featuring the Philadelphia based band Barleyjuice.  “With six studio albums and a double CD collection in their sporrans to date, these five spirited yanks are currently one of the most beloved Celtic rock bands in the USA” (USA Today).   The evening will close with a performance from Tuatha Dea.   Tuatha Dea has embraced its Celtic heritage and meshed the traditional music of Scotland, Ireland and Great Britain with the pulse-pounding heartbeat of the drums. The group’s eclectic nature also incorporates a rock, blues, new age, world and even punk edge into their repertoire of material to further widen their appeal.  This will be one show you do not want to miss.
